The shepherds heard it first! Sleeping in the darkness of the desert sky, lowly shepherds were awakened by the sounds of angelic wings and rapturous choruses about the birth of a Savior! They weren't kings, or governors, or captains of industry - they were shepherds and they heard the news first. And they were amazed. Do you still "wonder" at the thought of God coming to ordinary people from all walks of life; from the lowest of the low to the highest of the high, He pitched His tent with us in the midst of broken humanity.
